The purpose of my blog is to clarify where there is confusion in my life. I hope to influence no one, especially because I don’t have the answers. What I like to do is life’s biggest questions, and in so doing hopefully bring other people to a greater understanding in their own lives. I believe that we all ultimately have the answers we seek.
I’ve been practicing various meditation methods for about 8 years now, in particular Vipassana meditation as taught by S.N Goenka. In 2013 I completed a 10 day silent meditation retreat in Worcester, South Africa, where this method is taught. The impact this experience had on my life cannot be overstated. It was like using an electron microscope to observe my mind, and in so doing discovering firsthand why suffering takes place, in my life and the lives of others.
I currently practice Kundalini yoga a few times a week, which resonates with me more than any other style of yoga has in the past. I’m also a filmmaker by profession, and eventually wish to travel the world while documenting interesting cultures and ways of life.
